3D surveying is used to capture various areas, including large outdoor projects with its extended range; it is performed with a FARO FOCUS CORE USA 3D scanner, which captures large volumes of data with excellent accuracy and shorter registration time. The captured data is used to produce a 3D point cloud, where each point has an XYZ coordinate; the scope is:
• Perform architectural surveys quickly and easily
• Create plans of buildings, warehouses or industrial plants
• Obtain contour lines
• Analyze volumetries in mines, silos, roads and other places
