An evaluation request for the structural condition of a building or the structure itself is very common to determine its physical and structural condition, this can be required for different reasons, such as, determining if building complies with the actual load requirements, changing the building use, determining if the building complies with the current city code, to assessing the physical condition of the building, etc.

This type of evaluations consist of various phases, where the first phase is to inspect the existing building, and in case that no structural drawings exist, it would be necessary generate as-built drawings, and carry out some tests to the materials and structural members, where nondestructive testing might be an excellent option. The second phase will consist on creating a structural 3D model, to evaluate the structural performance behavior under the design loads and prepare the final report.
